SHE MAY HAVE THE WHITE SKIN, but many are claiming she's got the black voice. And it's a voice full of soul, energy and a passion for Christ. Martha Munizzi, the accomplished songwriter of songs like "Because Of Who You Are" and "God Is Here", literally took the Billboard Gospel charts by storm with the independent release of "The Best Is Yet To Come" (2003), which was produced by praise-and-worship giants Israel Houghton and Aaron Lindsey. The project launched several influential songs to an overwhelming peak of popularity, which includes "Glorious (Make His Praise)", "God Is Here", "Mighty God" and "Shout". And then began the revival of one of her earlier compositions, "Because Of Who You Are", which resurfaced on several projects recorded by highly recoginizable artists such as Juanita Bynum, Bishop Paul S. Morton and Vickie Yohe. Artists like Ron Kenoly, Alvin Slaughter, Karen Clark-Sheard have also touched one of Munizzi's musical creations in the last couple of years. And to finalize a brief intro of Martha's fast-paced journey to the top, we can mention her amazing breakthrough at the Stellar Awards in 2005 for winning New Artist of the Year; a first for a non-African American artist. It seems like the favor of God finds great comfort upon the labor and sacrifice of Martha Munizzi.

We were blessed with the priviledge to sit down with the "Teena Marie of Gospel" - to talk about her latest project ("No Limits Live "), her partnership with Integrity Gospel/Integrity Music, her musical influences, and other important matters that has shaped her musical career. She is an international praise-and-worship leader, acclaimed singer, songwriter, speaker and she is speaking with PRAYZEHYMNOnline.com. UNPLUGGED.
