At PRAYZEHYMNOnline.com, we strive to preserve the majestic heritage of gospel music. It’s a difficult job, but somebody’s gotta do it. One of the successful strategies we have been able to do so is by presenting our annual graduation of essential gospel albums of all time into our PRAYZEHYMN’s Mastercards series. 2007's list landed fifteen wonderful collections - some on compact discs and some only available on vintage vinyl, but all are worthy of our A+ approval. This year, we decided to drop fifteen albums into our collector’s items’ alumni, but we are dropping those name in two parts. The first set, including ten projects, will walk across the stage with all honors during the month of September - which was recently acknowledged by the U.S. Senate as being Gospel Music Heritage Month. We felt it was perfect timing to drop our first set at this time.
The final five selections will be posted during Anniversary week at PRAYZEHYMNOnline.com next month. And we can’t wait to reveal the final five, but in the meantime - enjoy our latest inclusions and salute our 2008 class of graduates in the PRAYZEHYMN Mastercards series. This is not just another moment of graduation. This is a moment of elevation. With this year’s inclusions, the total amount of selections in our series will eventually hit a milestone - reaching sixty additions since its 2006 debut. And you best believe, there will be much more to come. But don’t get too excited, the best albums so far have made the grade. The pickings are only gonna get tougher.
