THE NINETEEN-NINTIES presented some of the most colorful and radiant gospel music ever to hit the record stores. And it wasn’t that long ago when choirs dominated the charts, when New Jack Swing was the style to play with and when contemporary gospel didn’t feel so complicated. It was a time period that we felt needed some extra TLC and needed attention during Anniversary Week. And the necessary adjustments have been made to give five great gospel albums of this decade their share of props in the third installment of the PRAYZEHYMN Mastercards’ series. Much deliberation has been made and we have fianlly come with our verdict for the hour. Five great albums have been selected to join the growing class of graduates in our prestigious Mastercard series.
