During the Purple Rain Tour, Prince & the Revolution blazed Atlanta. The Syracuse show was released on VHS, but the Atlanta set, also recorded and used for promo work, was probably the better of the two. Catch the Purple One delivering a moving performance of "I Would Die 4 U" in all of its synth glory.
Besides Freddie Mercury screaming for all the stage attention with his semi-nude wardrobe, Queen took to the stage in Montreal to tape one of their greatest shows ever documented - before synthesizers jumped into their live shows. According to the show's producers, this was "raw Queen."
In a more recent live performance, Donald Fagen and Walter Becker and a newly-assembled Steely Dan takes to the stage in Charlotte, NC for an incredible summer show. Joined with them on this blazing number is Michael McDonald, who provided background vocals on the original 1977 hit.

Performed on the Midnight Special, Barry White whips up his maestro power on one of his greatest musical offerings with a full live band and orchestra. "Can't Get Enough" remains one of disco's brilliant masterpieces.
Filmed at the Hammersmith Odeon in London, this video captures Culture Club - with lead singer Boy George - at their recording zenith. Colours By Numbers became an international hit and pointed the glam-rock band in the right direction of success. Still labeled a fad group, Culture Club pumped out the pop music that defined the '80's.
"Stand" is both lyrically sweet and delicious funk. On this live number, the band takes to the stage to deliver the same emotional and power-packed energies first heard on the original studio version.
A budding Aretha Franklin in the making, Mary J. Blige took to the charts with her compelling debut project What's the 411? in 1992. One of the hit singles, "Reminisce," delivers moving images of '90's new jack swing and satisfying R&B-influenced hip-hop.
From most critics, the biopic Battle & Hum, where this performances comes from, was called "self-righteous" and "arrogant." It still is a colorful cinematic event capturing U2 at their best.
